About the Author
Jim Schroeder, and his wife, Amy, and their six children live in Evansville, Indiana. He is a pediatric psychologist at St. Mary’s Center for Children. He graduated with his doctorate in clinical psychology from Saint Louis University. He has published the books entitled, Wholiness: The Unified Pursuit of Health, Harmony, Happiness, and Heaven, Into the Rising Sun and Forty Days of Hopeful Prayer. He writes a monthly column for parents and professionals entitled Just Thinking

Must Read for All

From Sister Madonna Buder, known as the "Iron Nun", author of the book, "The Grace to Race"
This author portrays such depth, insight, and self-revelation combined with honesty, integrity and tenderness that it grips one from the start. The contents are not just about himself either. He also introduces other personalities to exemplify the point he is making entailing an amazing amount of well-researched statistical detail. Therefore, it would appeal to anybody and everybody across the board, not just athletes. Regardless of one's religious, cultural, philosophical, intellectual or athletic orientation there are gems to be gathered from the experiential breadth of this amazing life. It is so engrossing one is reluctant to close the cover until reaching the Finish Line.

A heart warming story

Into the Rising Sun is a great book - once I started the book I could only stop reading it when the story was finished. This book is about a husband, father, family man, professional pediatric psychologist, friend, a faithful man and one who begins the journey to an IRON MAN.
I thought the book would be about becoming an Iron Man, but it's so much more - it is just a wonderful book. The author decides to complete a childhood dream of becoming an Iron Man with his wife and kids supporting him along the way. All of his friends and extended family also support him in this journey.
All of the normal challenges of daily life are faced and conquered - what I found totally amazing was the discipline the author used in carving out space to train and still meet all of his obligations. He also shares with the reader the joys and sorrows of everyday life. And in this story of family life the reader will find a jewel.
This really is a must read book.
