About the Author
Preston Junkin spent his career working for Fortune 500 Companies and non-profits in the information technology arena, while raising a family with his wife, Loretta and serving in the local church. Preston has engaged in Christian teaching, relief and development work in the U.S., Africa, India, Central America and Siberia. He is a founding board member of KARIS, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the poor and disenfranchised.

This is truly great book! Preston Junkin has a gift for illuminating things with a light of clarity and focus that exposes God's big picture plan - "The Kingdom" in a comprehensive, good sense, everyday,but very spiritual way. He writes about things I though I knew at least a little about and leaves me marvelling how I could have missed the point, which he makes so clear, obvious and in his words "everyday" This book does real damage to the false dichotomy of spiritual and practical. He reveals God as very practical and completely spiritual. Everyday Kingdom presents an invitation, God's invitation to join Him in the adventure that we were made for. The Kingdom of God is shown to be a here and now lifetime adventure and eternal one. I want in!. Thanks. I hope he writes more!

Living in the Everyday Kingdom Reflects God's Image in Relationship and Stewardship

I was delightfully surprised when Pres Junkin left an autographed copy of The Everyday Kingdom in my door at Christmas. I have purchased 2 as gifts and am likely to purchase more. He reminds us that Jesus is God's faithful witness and we are called to live accordingly in the everyday and come to understand what "Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be Done" actually means. Living into the everyday kingdom is a challenge and a gift. The author gives guidance toward maturing perspective and faithful activity. "By becoming a hearer and doer of God's Word, you can discover the good works for which you were made....We were put on this earth to reveal and expand the Kingdom of God, bringing him glory." [p. 261]. We need not pine away for heaven but rather feast on living in the everyday kingdom which brings heaven to us through Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior. Keep alert. Thanks be to God.
