P. M. Christou, has lived in the UK, New Zealand, South Africa and Cyprus. As a child, she loved to write fictional stories, poems, and radio scripts for her fictional radio station Radio 4½. She studied and graduated, after many gap years, from the University of Life. She is an avid reader and enjoys writing fantasy stories, which include elements of history, mythology, folklore, and legend. She lives in the UK with her husband and daughter.

A Great Sequel to Throne of Ice

While this book carries on the exceptional story from book 1 "Throne of Ice" is suffers from the same problems most 2nd books in a trilogy do, it picks up a story from book 1 and leaves you in a place needing more that will be in book 3.
This is a great story but this book leaves you with MANY more questions than it answers and introduces at least 5 more characters dragged from other fairy tales (well basically, this story uses them as a very basic framework)
I can't really say that much because most anything I say would be spoilers for readers of book 1 and so I will just say that you obviously HAVE to read it but I will be much happier when this story is complete since it has so many hanging threads now it is hard to even keep up with them.
Bottom Line: This is a exceptional story but it is told in 3 parts and while book 1 was somewhat an almost complete story this is not, it just adds more plots/threads and more characters that you have little if any idea how they are going to feed into the main plot. So while I have enjoyed these first 2 books I really can't give anything like a overall review until the trilogy is done. The 4 Stars are really more for the continuing story than actually for this book itself. I can hardly wait for the conclusion.

You can't miss the second novel in this amazing series

This novel continues where 'Throne of Ice' left off. P. M. Christou has continued to weave these fairy tales into one wonderful world. You can't put it down. It was a voracious read for me. It went by much too quickly. The characters were very imaginative and I fell in love with them again from childhood. I can't wait to read the third book. It's difficult to have to wait for the author to write it. A definite yes to re-reading many times.

This was a really great read, following on from the first in the triligy Throne of Ice, in a coherent and enticing manner. It quickly draws the reader in, and I very much enjoyed the plot and character development. This book pulls in characters from other folk tales in a clever way, without distracting from the main plot development. I am really looking forward to reading the final book, I need to know what happens, to see how the story moves on and ends, for me a sign of a good book is that I don't want it to finish, and am ready for the next installment. Suitable for young and older alike.
