About the Author
Now that I am a Christian, I write what the Lord puts on my heart. All of the letters that I wrote that are my book are messages God put on my heart. Each person that I encountered was either family members or men that I dated or attempted to pursue a relationship with me. I must admit that writing these letters were hardest messages to deliver. I feared the backlash. To my surprise, I did not receive any negative feedback! This was confirmation these messages were inspired by God! So I write about real life situations that impact people every day. I use the gift God has given me to help people understand and deal with issues that plague our lives: relationships, faith, sex, prayer, death, and the list goes on. It is a blessing to be able to use the gift of writing and words to help people see their need for Jesus in a way that customized just for them. Repentance, the change of my mind and heart, is the greatest miracle that is no talks about in church. Other people cannot know about the miracle if I am not unwilling to share my life story. If I truly believe I am forgiven of all my sins – like the Bible promises - then what do I have to fear. What started out as just a friendly email conversation, evolves into a collection of poems and letters that I believe in my heart will draw people closer to God. This is a touching and wonderful book and I really enjoyed it

This is a touching and wonderful book and I really enjoyed it. It is the story of the author's journey in finding God and her own peace. I could relate to so much that she shared, as I had a bumpy relationship with my mother and things were said and not said, and after she passed I struggled with my own guilt and anger. But through God and prayer, I did find peace and a sense of closure. This is an inspiring book and I loved the poetic tones. It took a lot of courage for Canaa to open herself and bear her soul, but she gave me the courage to look at my own life and empowered me to seek the answers, by reading the Bible in a different light. It is beautifully written and very easy to read. I love the depth of her writing and the warmth of her heart. Thank you Canaa for reminding me we are all human, we make mistakes, sometimes people don't forgive us nor do we forgive them. But God always forgives and our life's path is easier when we walk it with Jesus. I recommend this book to all, it is deep and inspiring. Debbie Raynes

Inspiring look at the author's search for a closer walk with God

What Does a Christian Look Like? Epistles of a Repentant Heart by Miss Canaa L Lee is a wonderful reminder that we all need a repentant heart. Miss Lee opened up about the bumps and difficulties in her own search for a closer walk with God thru a relationship with Jesus Christ. Her search comes about as a result of her father's death. It is a well written story that makes you think. It is an inspiring book.

Great Book for Challenging Discipleship

Canaa shares deeply in this poetic narrative. She opens up her life and forces you to open up yours as well. Read with caution - you will be challenged to change parts of your life and grow deeper in your commitment to Christ.
Its format is quick and easy to read. I encourage you to read and look more like a Christian.
