"Frisky Fairy Tales I," is a satirical and humourous look at the old time classics our parents and grandparents read or told to us. These fairy tales have a little bite to them and poke fun at the ridiculous stories of our youth. Though they might poke fun, they don't ridicule, and they offer a twist that the reader won't expect. They all make for light hearted, fun filled reading.
From the Author
As a child, one of my favorite television shows was the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. Oh, I loved the caperings of the dimwitted moose and his miniscule friend Rocket J. Squirrel. Every bit of the show was fun, but most of all, I liked the Fractured Fairy Tales. As a child, my mother read them to my brother and me, and I enjoyed them, but even as a four year old I wondered about a man climbing the tresses of a beautiful maiden. Surely he would have broken her neck or at least pulled her hair. Other characters and situations were even less believable. There was no such behavior in Fractured Fairy Tales. These characters had a more humorous and realistic bent to them.
Being caught between novels last summer, I decided to write my own collection of stories, the way I would have wanted them told. The results were "Frisky Fairy Tales I & II.

Clyde Hedges Frisky Fairytales I is a rollicking romp. Stories you'll enjoy and want to share with your whole family. Hedges does a great job with scary stories, as well as not-so-scary ones. Give yourself a treat. Get this book now. Notice; it's out just in time for Hallowe'en.

Clyde Hedges shows real promise putting a fresh spin on the familar fairy tales. This fast paced fairy tales, with twists and turns makes for a quick and satisfying read, looking forward to more books.

Just finished reading Frisky Fairy tales 1. Can't wait to start book two. They are definetly twisted version of the classic fairy tales. I was pleasantly surprised by the twists.
